岡山県で作陶されている加藤直樹さんの作品です。

備前焼の産地である岡山で優しく淡い色合いの磁器の作品を作られています。
備前焼のように土と火の力で魅せる作品とは違い、包み込むような優しく穏やかで美しい作品。
磁器土という硬質な焼物でありながら、その色合いと緩やかなディテールが磁器特有のシャープさでなく柔らかさを表出しています。

現在は年に一度、穴窯での焼成も行っていますが、そちらの作品も激しい窯変というよりは炎で染まった緋色と灰が溶けてビードロになった淡いグリーンの美しい作品を作られています。
これも磁器土で焼くことで得られる特徴の一つなのでしょう。

見ていても触っていても心地よく、穏やかな気持ちになれるのが加藤さんの作品の魅力です。
